  • Speakers at all sessions are requested to report their presence to the session chair before the session starts.
  • Each oral presentation is limited to 15 minutes including 3 minute discussion time. The session chair will ring the bell once after 10 minutes and twice after 12 minutes for oral presentation. It is important for speakers to adhere to their allotted presentation time.
  • The session chairs have been instructed to enforce the schedule to strictly limit the length of a presentation. We kindly ask you for your understanding and for your cooperation in keeping the schedule.

※ Speakers should arrive in the session room 10 minutes before the start of their sessions to report to the session chair.
※ Please bring your PowerPoint presentation file on USB memory stick and submit it to the staff of each presentation room at least15 minutes before each session starts.

An LCD projector and a computer with Windows OS, MS PowerPoint (version of 2007 and 2010) and Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0 installed will be available in every session room for regular presentations. Please kindly bring your presentation saved on a USB memory stick and load your presentation on the computer 15 minutes prior to the session. ※ If you are a Mac user, please bring your Mac-to-VGA adapter.

※Please note that posters remaining after the session will be discarded. Thus, please ensure to take your posters down once the session is finished.

  1. The poster board is self-standing.
  2. The size of each poster panel is 1m in width and 2.5m in height.
  3. Each paper's code will be shown on the board.
  4. Tacks and Push-Pins will be provided for your use.
  5. Use of double-sided tape is prohibited
  6. All presenters are required to preside at their poster panel during the session for anticipated discussion with participants.

Guideline for Session Chair

1. Check the attendance of the speakers

Please kindly check the attendance of the speakers listed in the presentation schedule. If any of the presenters are not around or missing, please inform staff in charge of the room once you recognize. The secretariat will inform you how to proceed.

2. Presentation material

Presenters are required to report to you before the session starts and upload their Presentation materials from their own USB memory sticks prior to the session.

3. State the session title and introduce your self

At the beginning of each session, please state the session title and introduce yourself as the session chair followed by brief introduction of the speakers.

4. Ring the bell for reminder

The allocated time for each talk is scheduled as below which includes Q&A time as well. Please ring the bell twice as instructed below to remind the speaker and participants of the end of presentation.

5. No-Show

When there is "No-Show" of a speaker, please do not move up the presentations to fill the void and keep the presentation schedule as shown in the program book.

6. Q&A

Before the Q&A begins, please remind the questioners to identify themselves by stating their name and affiliation. It is strongly recommended that you do not let a speaker leave without at least having answered one question. Please repeat all questions, after they are asked. Audience does not often understand or hear the question and it is extremely useful for the question to be repeated by the session chairs.

7. Time is strictly observed.

Please make sure that the time is strictly observed. If the audience has additional questions, please ask them to discuss this with the authors after the session.
